G.I. Joe Analysis- Research and Planning

The 2013 film is a science fiction film which also involves action. This double genre technique used will not only add publicity to the film, but also make it more successful as this is unique compared to other films which would intrest and intrique the audience. This also includes a lot of big well known actors like Dwayne Johnson, Bruce Willis, and Channing Tatum. These actors have a reputation of producing good films so if they star in this film then that stereotypes it as being good, making it appeal to the audience more. This multi-genre use of Sci-fi and action would attract a wider audience instead of just one group of people who like action and people that like sci-fi. Both groups would probably be interested in this film because it uses both genres and this is unique to others. The actors used could attract different types of audience. Channing Tatum would attract the female audience due to his good looks and how he has starred in most romance films like 'Dear John' and 'The Vow' which makes him appeal more to girls. Bruce Willis is an iconic male action star who would appeal to a wide range of action film lovers due to his reputation in the film industry, he also stars in 'Die Hard' and 'Hostel' . Dwayne Johnson is an ex wrestler so would appeal to a younger audience, he is also a role model and a stereotype of a muscular, brave and threatening character. Featuring in films like 'Scorpion King', 'Pain and Gain' and many others.
The fact that these 3 characters are in the same film, shows that the film will be full of experience and excitement and this will appeal to a much wider audience whereas if the film only had one of them, the film might not have been as successful.
